How To Allow Remote Desktop connections from outside your home or office network. To learn how to SECURE your Remote Desktop Connections with 128-bit encryption so you can access a PC from outside your network safely and securely, check out my video on how to secure remote desktop:
In this video I will show you how to very easily set up your computer and router to allow Remote Desktop connections from a remote location outside of your home or office. There are many times when I am at home and need to work on something on my systems at the office. With this setup I can use RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) and Remote Desktop Connection software to connect to my work computer from home (or from a hotel if I'm travelling). Or, I can log in to my PC at home from the office if need be. You cannot take over another desktop this way and allow another user to watch what you are doing. If you need that capability, then you need a paid third party service like LogMeIn.
